Objective:  
To provide delegates with the necessary skills, knowledge and safe  working practices to enable them to safely carry out the care &  maintenance of hydraulically actuated equipment including fault diagnosis.

Course Duration: 
4 days                                                                   

Pre-course requirements:
   
Delegates should have an understanding of basic engineering   principles and workplace health & safety.

  • Principles of fluid mechanics
  • Pascal’s Law, Benoullis principle
  • Multiplication of forces
  • Laminar and turbulent flow
  • DIN ISO 1219 Symbols
  • Filtration
  • Reservoirs, Pumps and Control valves
  • Motors
  • Piping
  • Oils, viscosity and application
  • Cylinders and Accumulators
  • Circuits
  • Electro hydraulics & computer simulation
  • Safety, fault finding and maintenance

Outcomes: 
Successful completion of the course will result in the issue of a SETA Certificate of Completion.
