This result is due to the standard of tuition from the trainers. They were excellent in their technique and they were able to get the information across in such a way to make it understandable. Hand tools Course an excellent balance of practical work and demonstrations, the training in small groups gave enough time to use the tools such as angle grinder properly... the trainer was personable and down to earth..

Former SETA Apprentice

 Looking back to my time spent at SETA (2003/04), I wish to say thank you to the SETA team who helped me to kick start my career in engineering. I enjoyed my time there learning the practical skills of engineering. They have in no doubt put me in good stead for the job I do today. I am currently working as a consulting engineer in the civil/structural engineering discipline for a company called Wilde and Partners in Stockport. I have been with W+P since I left SETA over five years ago. My time at W+P has given me the opportunity to use CAD to produce detail design drawings for various projects including traffic works in most of Greater Manchester boroughs. W+P have also sponsored me through a part time degree at Bolton University, although it has taken five years to complete (HNC then BSc hons) it has definitely been worth it! I am pleased to say I graduated last month with a First class honours degree in Civil Engineering. I am now a qualified engineer and am looking forward to working as a designer on future projects that I am involved in. I also hope to further my training through professional development with the ICE working towards chartership. Once again, a big thank you to SETA and hope that every one is good and well?
