Electrical Domestic Theory
Objective: To provide an environment to allow delegates to put the knowledge gained on prior courses into practice, enabling them to understand how to install several sample circuits, to current standards. To be considered competent to carry out Domestic electrical work, the delegate would need to complete a package of courses including, Electrical health and safety, fundamental electrical principles, 17th edition wiring regulations as well as this domestic theoretical class, domestic practical and an inspection and testing course along the lines of 2394/5, which are all within the SETA electrical portfolio of courses available.
Course duration: 3 days
Delegates can be in any of our three levels of achievement to attend this programme, but need to have the core 5 days course knowledge from the Electrical Safety and Fundamentals to progress to the next level of moving on to be an instructed person and a skilled person going forward
• Including Installation specifics for domestic.
• Building regulations that are applicable to domestic.
• Testing domestic circuits.
• Protective measures and additional protection for domestic circuits
• Paperwork issued in domestic installations.
This is an introduction and a pre-requisite course to help delegates move forward with learning and knowledge building in the Electrical Engineering areas, and there will be home study required along with practical exercises.
