Course overview

Power press safety training for operators and responsible personnel

Many serious accidents have occurred to power press operators and tool setters at the tools of these machines. The Regulations relating to power presses require people carrying out specified tool and safety-device duties to be trained in accordance with the Regulations, competent to carry out those duties and appointed by their employer.

The course meets the training requirements of PUWER 1998. The source page also states that users of hydraulic and direct-driven press brakes have been strongly recommended within PUWER to adopt the same inspection procedures as those applying to power presses.
