Objective:
The aims of the session are:
• To understand the purpose and function of the regulations
• To understand the roles of those who are duty holders under the regulations
• To understand what works fall under the “Notifiable Work” requirement
Outcomes:
Successful completion of the course will result in the award of a SETA Certificate.
Course Duration: 1/2 day
Programme:
The objectives to complete in order to meet the aims as stated are:
• Refresh knowledge of relevant sections of Health & Safety at Work (etc.) Act 1974
• To know why we have the CDM Regulations
• Know who are determined “Duty Holders” under the regulations
• Know the duties and responsibilities that Duty Holders have and their interaction with each other
• Understand what are classed as “Notifiable Works.”
• Understand the pre-construction phase plan
• Understand the requirements of the Health & Safety File
• Understand how the regulations apply to domestic clients
