Introduction to Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015
Objective:
The aims of the session are:
- To understand the purpose and function of the regulations
- To understand the roles of those who are duty holders under the regulations
- To understand what works fall under the “Notifiable Work” requirement
Outcomes:
Successful completion of the course will result in the award of a SETA Certificate.
Course Duration: 1/2 day
Programme:
The objectives to complete in order to meet the aims as stated are:
- Refresh knowledge of relevant sections of Health & Safety at Work (etc.) Act 1974
- To know why we have the CDM Regulations
- Know who are determined “Duty Holders” under the regulations
- Know the duties and responsibilities that Duty Holders have and their interaction with each other
- Understand what are classed as “Notifiable Works.”
- Understand the pre-construction phase plan
- Understand the requirements of the Health & Safety File
- Understand how the regulations apply to domestic clients
