Pre-course requirements:

Delegates can be in any of our three levels of achievement to attend this programme, but need this core two day course to progress to the next level of the fundamentals of electricity before moving on to be an instructed person going forward.

Delegates do not need specific safety knowledge but should have an understanding of workplace health & safety and Electrical work practices within their work site.

Outcomes:

Successful completion of the course will result in the issue of a SETA certification.

• Legislation Including:-EAWR,HASAWA,COSHH
• Difference between Domestic, Commercial and Industrial standards.
• Safe Isolation of Single and 3-Phase supplies and verification of isolation.
• Competence Vs Knowledge
• Control systems for works
• Risk assessment and method statements.   

  This is an introduction and a pre-requisite course to help delegates move forward with learning and knowledge building in the Electrical Engineering areas, and there will be home study required along with practical exercises.
