Millions of people walk to work every day you may say but…
Dave’s walk is a staggering 14 miles from Home in Upper Mill, Saddleworth to work at the SETA Skills Academy in Reddish.
Dave aimed to set off early morning, walking his way to work to raise money for a cause close to his heart, because they fixed his heart!
1 year ago, Dave had major surgery at Wythenshawe Hospital under the care of Mr Barnard (Consultant) and his staff.
Dave is so grateful to the staff and indeed Mr Barnard that he wants to do something to give a little back.

After an early start, he arrived back at SETA in style, still with a spring in his step and a smile on his face.
The 17.61 KM hike took Dave just over 4 hours to complete, clocking in at 11:34am.
In his own modest style, his first words after crossing the finish line were, “Ooh I could murder a brew”!
Everyone at SETA congregated to welcome Dave back to the centre complete with the “Ticker” tape finish!
Well done Dave, we’re all so very proud of you!
