The National Apprenticeship Show in Manchester this October brought together employers, colleges and providers with those wanting to find out more about what apprenticeships can offer.

SETA stand proved to be very popular with many young people visiting and enquiring about the process of starting a career in engineering. This type of an apprenticeship is appealing to very talented and ambitious young people who appreciate the high pay, job security and great possibilities this varied sector offers.

SETA is one of the most prominent providers of Engineering Apprenticeships in North West and is training young people since 1966. Recognising this prominent role as an established training provider SETA is actively promoting the benefits of Engineering Apprenticeships to both young men and women. We are pleased to say that our efforts pay off and more and more young women are starting to consider the career in engineering. Some of our most successful apprentices to date were extraordinary young women, praised by employers and winning Apprenticeship of the year Awards and National Awards.

October was a busy period for SETA and we were also exhibiting at the well attended Stockport Apprenticeship Job Fair on Tuesday, 11th October.  seta-apprenticeships-manchester-show2

This year’s Apprenticeship Job Fair for 15-24 year olds was again held at the Stockport Town Hall. Hundreds of young people from schools around the Stockport area visited the career event. Young people and their parent/carers took this opportunity to explore the Engineering Apprenticeship and Higher Level training available through our Stockport Training & Skills Academy.

Huge thank you to all of the young people and their parents who visited our stand at the National Apprenticeship Show in Manchester and Stockport Apprenticeship Job.
