PUWER Assessor course

24 & 25 November 2022

location: SETA Training Centre in Stockport only £395 + VAT per person

The delegates receive classroom based instruction covering the relevant elements of legislation. Delegates will be led by the facilitator to a common and clear understanding, of the requirements of the legislation that is in line with the policies and procedures the company has in place.


  • To promote the use of PUWER Assessments and Checklists.
  • To ensure your company complies with the legal requirements placed upon them by Health & Safety Legislation.
  • To ensure attendees are familiar with and can competently use their companies PUWER Assessor Checklist.
Abrasive Wheels Safety Training Course 28 November 2022 location: SETA Training Centre in Stockport only £215 + VAT per person

The course is designed for:

Personnel responsible for departments in which abrasive wheels are used Persons who, in the course of their employment, carry out duties to which the Regulations refer.

The course is designed to cover the statutory training requirements of PUWER 98. On completion of the course, attendees will be able to mount, dress, balance and identify correctly/incorrectly fitted abrasive wheels.

Power Press Safety Training Course 07 November 2022 02 December 2022 location: SETA Training Centre in Stockport only £215 + VAT

Everyone involved with power presses knows that many serious accidents have occurred to operators and tool setters at the tools of these machines. The Regulations relating to power presses require that any person who carries out the: resetting, adjustment or trying out of the tools installation and adjustment of any safety device or day to day inspection and testing of safety devices required by the Regulations.

The course meets the training requirements of PUWER 1998.

Users of hydraulic and direct driven press brakes have been strongly recommended within PUWER to adopt the same inspection procedures as those that apply to power press as defined in PUWER 1998.
