Waking up to something nice on Christmas morning is pretty much something most people take for granted but for some this is not the case. This year has been a really hard hitting year with the effects of COVID, furlough and job losses effecting many families. The Salvation Army do everything they can each year to reach out to families and individuals across the country to make sure that they can help reduce the sting of Christmas for the people who find themselves in a disadvantaged situation. They put their faith into action by offering practical help for people without discrimination and standing up for those who are vulnerable.
This morning we had a visit from Lieutenant Nazia Yousaf and Fiona Hunter from The Salvation Army, Heaton Moor Corps.
The SETA Toys Appeal 2021 has been arranged by our wonderful Business Administration Apprentice Sophie Saxon. We are so proud of your achievements with this appeal Sophie, a massive well done from us all and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, your generosity has helped make someone’s Christmas a little brighter this year!
Mark Neild, Operations Director said “The staff of SETA have shown incredible generosity in donating so many wonderful toys, and helped to put a smile on the faces of many disadvantaged children this Christmas. On behalf of myself and the staff at SETA, I would personally like to thank our very own Sophie Saxon for arranging and co-ordinating efforts for this great cause. Well done Sophie and thank you everyone”.
