On Wednesday 5th October 2016, we were delighted to open the new ‘HNC Suite’ at SETA Stockport.

The opening of the suite was carried out by Dr Moray Kidd BEng (Hons) DMS EngD FHEA CEng FIMechE.

Dr Moray Kidd is currently based at the University of Manchester in the role(s) of Director for Business Engagement and Senior Lecturer in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering but initially served his time as a SETA Apprentice a number of years ago. He has always maintained his links with SETA staff.

Chief Executive Russell Prince said:
” It is an exciting time for SETA and a pleasure to have past apprentices back to endorse the Higher Education pathways. The new HNC suite is just a small step into an ever expanding network of engineering training. SETA’s aim is to ensure Apprentices are given the very best industrial training possible”.

During his address Dr Moray Kidd emphasised to current Apprentices the importance of lifelong learning in order to ensure they achieve their optimum goals throughout their working lives.
Chairman Robert Howarth, Dr Moray Kidd & guests were then invited to take a tour of the rest of the facilities.
