Objective:
The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in H&S Leadership Excellence qualification focuses on how leadership behaviours can impact on the health and safety culture of an organisation and it guides leaders to become better advocates for health and safety within their organisations.

• What health and safety leadership means
• The moral, legal and financial reasons for good health and safety leadership
• The links between health and safety leadership and culture
• What the different leadership styles are

• The HSE’s model of effective health and safety leadership
• How leaders can build effective relationships with the workforce
The assessment will be in form of reflective statements undertaken throughout the course. These will show how the students’ knowledge, skills and behaviours may have both positive and negative effects on health and safety performance in their organisation.
Outcomes:
Candidates must achieve a Pass in Unit HSL1 to pass the qualification. There is no time restriction for passing as this is a one unit qualification. Once you have achieved a pass an overall qualification parchment will be issued.

- NEBOSH suggests that those taking these qualifications should have a minimum English proficiency level equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher.
- If you choose to undertake a classroom-based plan of study, you will need to attend classes and exams with other delegates on specific dates and at certain times, as outlined on your course timetable.
