Everyone involved with power presses knows that many serious accidents have occurred to operators and tool setters at the tools of these machines. The Regulations relating to power presses require that any person who carries out the: resetting, adjustment or trying out of the tools installation and adjustment of any safety device or day to day inspection and testing of safety devices required by the Regulations
MUST:
Have been trained in accordance with the Regulations be competent to carry out those duties and have been appointed by the employer to carry out those duties
The course is structured for:
Operators and personnel responsible for departments in which power presses or press brakes are situated.
OBJECTIVE:
The course meets the training requirements of PUWER 1998.
Users of hydraulic and direct driven press brakes have been strongly recommended within PUWER to adopt the same inspection procedures as those that apply to power press as defined in PUWER 1998.
