Power Press Safety Training Course

The course is structured for:

Operators and personnel responsible for departments in which power presses or press brakes are situated.

OBJECTIVE:
The course meets the training requirements of PUWER 1998.

Users of hydraulic and direct driven press brakes have been strongly recommended within PUWER to adopt the same inspection procedures as those that apply to power press as defined in PUWER 1998

Accident Investigation

Objectives: Accident investigation is an important management tool, crucial for prevention, learning and/or dealing with insurance, litigation and the implementation of statute law.               

Aims: The course is designed to provide the information to enable delegates to carry out investigations,identify immediate and underlying causes and write a meaningful report thus enabling actions to be taken to prevent a reoccurrence.

Pre-course Requirements: Suitable for managers, safety advisors and safety representatives who may be involved in, or are responsible for accident investigation.

Fire Marshall Training Course

The course is aimed at all staff in your workplace, particularly those who are designated as a Fire Warden or Fire Marshall. It will give them a greater awareness of the threats posed by fire, how to avoid a fire starting and spreading, and the action to be taken by a Fire Warden in the event of a fire and the day to day role (fire safety checks).

The course is specifically designed for persons who are responsible for the safe evacuation of other personnel in the event of fire, as well as for persons who are expected to deal with fires in the work situation.

Hand & Power Tools Safety Training Course

The Safe Operation and Use of Hand & Power Tools Course (Experienced/Novice)

This training course is designed for any operative or supervisor who is required to use or supervise others during the use of hand tools and other similar machines in the workplace.

This course is a 1 or 2 day course which will include typical machines used by operatives. This course can be delivered at SETA or at your company and adapted to the specifications of the customer to concentrate on specific tools if you so wish.

Risk Assessment (to include permit systems)

SETA employs a number of competent Safety Advisors who are available to provide services including risk assessments, surveys, departmental and full site safety audits.

A full report is provided, with appropriate recommendations. If required, audio-visual aids can be used to identify possible hazards.This is most useful if the survey is to be used in conjunction with safety training courses
