Annually, SETA do a toy collection for the Toys for disadvantaged children appeal. The SETA Toys Appeal 2022 has once again been arranged by our wonderful Business Administrator, Sophie Saxon. We are so proud of how you co-ordinate this appeal every year Sophie, a massive well done from us all and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, your generosity has helped make someone’s Christmas a little brighter this year!

On Thursday 8th December, this years collection was delivered  to Heaton Moor Corps Salvation Army by Sophie Saxon, Julie Burns and members of our SETA Learner Committee, Alex Bracegirdle, Alfie Ward, Tom Bennett and Tom Hughes.

Waking up to something nice on Christmas morning is pretty much something most people take for granted but for many, this is not the case. Many local families are struggling to make ends meets with the current financial situation. The Salvation Army do everything they can each year to reach out to families and individuals across the country to make sure that they can help reduce the sting of Christmas for the people who find themselves in a disadvantaged situation. They put their faith into action by offering practical help for people without discrimination and standing up for those who are vulnerable.

Julie Burns, SETA HR Director said “The staff and apprentices of SETA have donated so many wonderful toys and gifts again this year. On behalf of myself and the staff at SETA, I would like to thank Sophie Saxon for arranging and co-ordinating for this great cause. Well done Sophie and thank you everyone for your generosity”.
