As part of National Apprenticeship Week 6-10th March SETA ( Stockport Engineering Training Association) was holding an Open Day on Wednesday 8th March from 10 am to 8 pm at their engineering training centre in Reddish, Stockport .
SETA’s Open Day was a massive success with over 200 young people and their parents, 37 local schools and colleges and prestigious employers in attendance.
The day was a real success that saw a record number of visitors into the centre. The feedback from employers was that the event was “above and beyond their expectations” and that they were impressed with enthusiasm of young people who were applying for Apprenticeships.
One particular comment from a parent was that they could see that there was a really good relationship between the Apprentices and staff. The Apprentices that stayed behind to help out were outstanding and made sure all visitors felt welcome and received an informative tour of the centre.
