At Christmas time, the staff at SETA generally have a Secret Santa, but this year, Sophie our fabulous Business Administration Apprentice, came up with a wonderful idea. With 2020 being such an unprecedented year and such a lot of families on furlough or losing their jobs, there is a serious risk of children going without this Christmas.
Sophie suggested that instead of our Secret Santa, why did we not donate to the Salvation Army toys appeal instead? All of the staff were behind her with this suggestion and slowly the toy pile started to grow!
She contacted our local Salvation Army and spoke to Wendy and Ian Hall the Captains at the Heaton Norris corps who were delighted to arrange the drop off for Friday 4th December.
During the last 2 weeks staff and apprentices alike have donated some amazing gifts and we were amazed at just how much we had to take on the day. Well done Sophie for such a thoughtful suggestion and thank you so much to everyone who has donated to our appeal.
The Salvation Army are still accepting your toy donations until Sunday 13th December 2020.
