Our Annual Apprenticeship Awards Evening was held on Friday 17th May. A fantastic evening was had by all and the prestigious Apprentice of the year award was won by Megan Tait who is employed by Electrium.

This year’s Engineering Apprenticeships Open Day at SETA Stockport was an enormous success with over 250 visitors, young people and their parents from 29 schools, sixth form and FE colleges in Stockport, Tameside and Manchester.

One particular comment from a parent was that they could see that there was a really good relationship between the Apprentices and staff. The Apprentices that stayed behind to help out were outstanding and made sure all visitors felt welcome and received an informative tour of the centre.
SETA Apprentices have built the 10 foot replica of the World War I Tank to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme at a request of Friends of Stockport Cemeteries, to be displayed during First World War centennial commemoration.
Road Traffic Awareness Event was a a great success, organised as part of Induction Week for new Engineering Apprentices starting their training at SETA Training and Skills Academy in Stockport this September.
