Our Annual Apprenticeship Awards Evening was held on Friday 17th May. A fantastic evening was had by all and the prestigious Apprentice of the year award was won by Megan Tait who is employed by Electrium.
On the Friday 20th April 2018 SETA held its 52nd Apprentice Awards Evening at Stockport County, Edgeley Park, congratulating its finest among many amazing young engineering apprentices. This is an annual event where all of this years 119 apprentices, their families and SETA staff were invited to come together to celebrate the success of these young people who have chosen the vocational route in their preferred career.
This year’s Engineering Apprenticeships Open Day at SETA Stockport was an enormous success with over 250 visitors, young people and their parents from 29 schools, sixth form and FE colleges in Stockport, Tameside and Manchester.
Every year as part of our induction week for our new intake apprentices we hold a Road Safety Awareness day. This involves our apprentices partaking in a day of awareness talks and presentations from Manchester Fire Rescue Service.
Our Apprentices put their best foot forward and ran, splashed and clambered their way through the 4 ½ mile ramble to raise money to help ‘When you wish upon a star’ with the Frozen Christmas themed Winter Wonderland at Center Parcs.

One particular comment from a parent was that they could see that there was a really good relationship between the Apprentices and staff. The Apprentices that stayed behind to help out were outstanding and made sure all visitors felt welcome and received an informative tour of the centre.
