This three-day classroom course is for anyone who needs to understand the basic principles of health and safety as part of their job, with particular relevance to team leaders and supervisors, high-level operators and skilled workers, HR management and staff, and facilities managers.

Course information
Requirements, assessment and certification
Pre-course requirements
NEBOSH suggests that learners taking this qualification should have a minimum English proficiency level equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher. Learning is guided and supported by a class tutor.
Assessment
After completing the course, you will be asked to complete a workplace health and safety review which:
- Considers how health and safety is managed, and how it could be done better,
- Identifies health and safety hazards, how they are controlled and if the risk can be reduced,
- Select the most important hazard for improvement.
This assessment is designed to test your ability to put into practice what you have learnt and, as it is carried out in the workplace, or another workplace and submitted by email to SETA. You must achieve the pass standard 45 out of 60 (75%) in order to pass the assessment and achieve the qualification.
This is a 3 day course consisting of 23 hours (18 taught hours, 2 hours self study and 3 hours for the assessment).
Certification
Successful completion will result in the issue of a NEBOSH Health and Safety Award Certificate.

Learner will:

Payment and resits
Payment is taken when the course booking is confirmed. Invoice payments must be made within 30 days or before the course starts, whichever is sooner, and all payments must be received by the course start date. Examination resits incur an additional fee. All course fees are subject to VAT at the current rate, subject to valid exemptions.
