Strengthen your understanding of environmental management systems
The NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate is designed to help line managers, HSE managers, supervisors and HR practitioners strengthen their understanding of environmental management systems, including ISO 14001, and environmental impact assessments.
The course also covers energy efficiency, pollution control and planning for and dealing with environmental emergencies. It is suitable for people who recognise the importance of a respected environmental management qualification and for those looking to build a career in Environmental Management.

Course information
Requirements, assessments and certification
Pre-course requirements
No formal previous health and safety knowledge is required. NEBOSH suggests that learners taking these qualifications should have a minimum English proficiency level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or higher. Classroom learners need to attend classes and assessments with other delegates on the dates and times set out in the course timetable; learning is guided and supported by a class tutor.

Assessments
The qualification is divided into two units, each assessed separately: Unit EMC1 – a 24-hour Open Book Examination. Unit EMC2 – a practical assessment carried out in your workplace or another workplace and submitted by email to SETA. This as a 5-day classroom based course with 1 day for the EMC1 OBE Exam combined with a suggested 25 hours of self-study and a suggested 8 hours on assessment.
Certification
NEBOSH will issue a certificate to those who successfully complete the course and assessment.

Classroom Expectations
Learner will:
- Attend all sessions

Payment and resits
Payment is taken when the course booking is confirmed. Invoice payments must be made within 30 days or before the course starts, whichever is sooner. Examination resits incur an additional fee. All course fees are subject to the current VAT, subject to exemptions.
