This one-day classroom qualification focuses on how leadership behaviours can impact the health and safety culture of an organisation. It guides leaders to become better advocates for health and safety within their organisations.

The programme examines what health and safety leadership means, the moral, legal and financial reasons for good leadership, the links between leadership and culture, different leadership styles, human failures, the HSE model of effective leadership and relationships with the workforce.

Course information

Requirements, assessment and certification

Pre-course requirements

NEBOSH suggests a minimum English proficiency level equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher. Learning is guided and supported by a class tutor.

Assessment

Assessment is in the form of reflective statements undertaken throughout the course. These show how students’ knowledge, skills and behaviours may have both positive and negative effects on health and safety performance in their organisation.

Certification

Successful completion of the assessment will result in the issue of a NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Health and Safety Leadership Excellence certificate.

Payment and resits

Payment is taken when the course booking is confirmed. Invoice payments must be made within 30 days or before the course starts, whichever is sooner. Resits incur an additional fee. All course fees are subject to VAT.
